Sicgil India Limited is the largest manufacturer and distributor of Carbon dioxide and Dry Ice in India. It was incorporated in 1947 and is the only Limited Company exclusively in the Co2 business. The Company has seven factories, at Bhatinda Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Srikakulam, Tuticorin, Vadodara, with a cumulative production capacity of 450 tons of Co2 per day. This facility is backed up by eleven bulk refilling centers at Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore, Madurai, Mumbai, Pune, Shimoga, Surat, Vadodara and Vizag with a combined storage capacity of 4500 tons of Co2. We also have five sales offices and depots spread over the southern states. We have over 250 employees in our organisation who are well trained, professionally qualified and are managing the business efficiently.
We have our own engineering department, which enables us to design, and manufacture our own production and distribution equipment to stringent quality standards and within the projected time frame.
Our contribution to the Industrial Gas industry has earned us recognition from the Explosives Department as well as the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). We are also in the committee of the Explosives Department for framing new rules with regard to industrial gas storage and distribution equipment. We are also an authorised testing house for cylinders, recognised by the Explosives Department.
We operate and distribute Technical Gases, Speciality Mixtures and Specialised Gas Services from our centres located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Madurai, Mumabi, New Delhi, Pune, Trichy, Tuticorin, Vadodara and Vizag.
We own and operate a transportation fleet, and have about 85 tankers, trucks, LCV’s and auto’s to cater to the entire range of customer requirements. We have a large cylinder holding of close to 45,000 cylinders of various capacities, and this combined with our network of distributer’s cylinders we handle over a 1,00,000 cylinders in our area of operation.
We have a large customer base over most parts of India and supply Gases to cater to any application requirement. We continuously promote traditional uses of gases and develop new applications that will be soon required in India, like the food processing, water treatment, paper processing, environment control, and specialised medical care.
